Dear Madam, dear Sir, as a collector of phallic objects, I came across this stone sculpture in your collection. Great piece! Do you have more information? I try to document this type of objects but it seems very difficult as the meaning is still very taboo (or forgotten). Looking forward to your reaction, Philip (Antwerp, Belgium)

Dear Sir, thank you for your inquiry. I have no detailed information about the sculpture, beyond the fact that stone statues, especially phallic stone statues, from Nepal are rare. Unfortunately, there exist only very few books on wooden and stone statues from Nepal. Pictures of three phallic stone statues you will find in the following publication (pages 43 and 50):
Als die Götter noch jung waren: Masken und Skulpturen aus dem Himalaya. Offenburg: Museum am Ritterhaus, 2002.
It may be difficult to find the book. If you are interested, I could send you pictures of the three objects.
Best regards,
Wulf-Uwe Meyer
