The Tribal wood carved seeders are beautiful. What additional information can you provide me about their ages, type of wood and history? I actually own one myself, displayed on my fireplace mantle. I found it in a thrift store in Denver, Colorado USA
Thank you for your time!

Thank you very much for the comment. I think that the seeders are more than 100 years old. They consist of very hard wood; I do not know the type of wood. Seeders 1-5 I acquired about 30 years ago from a collector/dealer in Austria, Seeder 6 was acquired in India by my wife.
Most of these seeders have the following iconography (see Seeders 1-5): On two sides an ox is shown — the animal who is pulling the plow. On the third side Ganesh, who represents a good crop, and on the fourth side, a couple using a seeder — man and wife.
But there are many other designs too: some seeders have flower motifs, or are plain with only a swastica, others with parrots and flowers; and the bronze ones are very different. Instead of a man and a woman, there are sun and moon motifs.
Best regards,
